The news is, the new government wishes to make big changes to public schools. Basically, it’s about cutting funding to pay for, I don’t know, people specially qualified to provide expert advice in coordinating schools. This means that the basic function of different public schools is roughly the same.
Saving money, while adding workloads on principals and expecting working parents to waste additional time on administration activities that were once done by others in a career dedicated to that role.
Not to mention the disturbing news of school boards full of parents with strong anti-science views on evolution and climate change (for instance).
The worst of the previous Coalition government seems to have returned.
